Senator Collins praises Biden’s Supreme Court pick

CHICAGO - State Senator Jacqueline Collins (D-Chicago), who recently earned her law degree from Loyola University, issued the following statement praising President Joe Biden’s decision to nominate Ketanji Brown Jackson to the United States Supreme Court:

“As a Black woman who has faced and overcome so many barriers in my career, I want to thank President Biden for his historic nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson, a well-qualified and well-deserving Black woman, to the Supreme Court. Even 50 years ago, her nomination would have been unthinkable. This nomination shows young Black girls throughout the nation that truly anything is possible and that justice will always prevail in the end.”
